Clinics & Services

We currently offer the following services:

  • Child Development Clinics - for 6 week baby health checks.
  • Child Immunisation Clinics - with the practice nurse.
  • Chronic Disease Review - patients with a history of asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, chronic obstructive airway disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, epilepsy or mental health problems are advised to be reviewed on a 6 monthly basis with a nurse or doctor by appointment. You may be reminded to attend for review.
  • Practice Nurses’ Clinics - please make an appointment with our receptionists to see the practice nurse who will be able to help you with: immunisation; cervical smears; weight control; dressings; blood pressure checks & family planning. The nurses will also review those patients with asthma and diabetes, and give general advice on coronary disease prevention, blood cholesterol, breast examination, exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption.
  • Contraceptive Pills - when taking a contraceptive pill you must have your blood pressure checked every 6 months. Please note that Out-of-House emergency contraception can be obtained from a Family Planning Clinic or purchased from a pharmacy.
  • Flu Vaccinations - available between October and February each year for those aged over 65 or who are in the "At Risk Category".
